As believers, the bible makes it clear that you must train yourself to live only by the truth of God’s word. The reason being that in this world, there are many things dragging for out attention and to not be influenced by the opinions of others, we need to soak ourselves in the word.
You are constantly inundated with ideas and suggestions when you turn on the TV, browse social media, or even just engage with people on a daily basis. However, only one viewpoint matters: what is written in God’s Word.
The truth of God’s word must be your main concern as you daily search the scriptures for solutions to life’s problems in a world full of uncertainty and darkness.
Do you have areas of your life where you need counsel? Seek in the Word first. Are there situations in your life or around you that seem to stir up fear in you? Rather than turn to the world for an answer, set your heart to focus on the truth of God’s Word, asking the Holy Ghost to show you the key to a lasting victory in that area. You will find light and direction as you do so.
